Preventive care is critical when it comes to a number of diseases and conditions. Men, this month, make your health a priority. And ladies, encourage the men in your life to visit a doctor for any required checkups and tests.
According to information from MensHealthNetwork.org, men die at higher rates than women from the top 10 causes of death. That includes heart disease, liver disease, influenza, and HIV.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists the following things men can do to remain healthy and improve their well-being:
- Get adequate sleep daily
- Quit smoking
- Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Exercise frequently
- Manage stress levels
- Visit your doctor for regular checkups
This June, take control of your health and spread the word about Men’s Health Awareness Month.
